Year 6 have been exploring the different roles taken on by members of Mayan Society. Children worked in groups to become Rulers, Priests, Farmers and Slaves. They researched what life was like for their assigned role and carried out a debate as to who was the most important. All children came up with incredibly convincing arguments using historical facts but the farmers declared victorious! The photo shows a version of a pyramid representing the Mayan hierarchy.
