Children in year 5 were invited to Parkside Academy this week to take part in their multi-skills event. The class joined children from other schools in the area to experience lessons in a secondary school setting which supports their learning and progression into year 6 and beyond. Children took part in a host of activities including experimenting in food technology, becoming a Town Planner and eco tie-dying to name a few! They also had the opportunity to conquer an amazing climbing wall using team skills and learning new techniques. Mrs Helsop was full of praise for her class and said, ‘Their behavior was impeccable and they did the school proud!’
