Year 1’s topic this half term is based on the book ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ written by Maurice Sendak. The book is about a young boy named Max who’s bedroom undergoes a mysterious transformation into a jungle environment and he winds up sailing to an island inhabited by malicious beasts known as the “Wild Things.” As part of the children’s English work they were instructed to make their own Wild Things mask.
