Our school has won the ‘Best Breakfast Club in the North East’ award. The award was hosted by Kellogg’s and four of our year 6 children together with Mrs Walker and Mr Littlefair were invited to attend an award ceremony at the Houses of Parliament in London. During the day they had a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament, met our local MP (Laura Pidcock) and were presented with a trophy and a cheque for £1,000! They had an amazing day and were great ambassadors for our school. On the train journey home they played a game which ended up with most of the carriage joining in! The school received a lovely e-mail from one of the passengers who wrote, ‘It was without doubt the most enjoyable train journey I have experienced. They were playing a card game and were most polite, entertaining children. So well behaved – what a credit they must be to your school – well done Willington!’
