Children in year 3 visited the Hancock Museum to explore what colour is and how it is found in the natural world. Children created rainbows and investigated colours through rock and mineral samples before thinking about why animals are different colours. Interactive sessions gave children the knowledge of why animals use colour for display,warning and camouflage in different habitats. The day finished with a tour of the museum!
