Your child may be able to get free school meals if you or your child get any of the following:

- Income Support
- income-based Jobseekers Allowance
- income-related Employment and Support Allowance
- support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- the guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190
- Working Tax Credit run-on -paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
- Universal Credit

- *Please note: in families where the child’s birth parents are no longer living together the child can still be eligible to free school meals from either parent even if they are not living with the child if they are in receipt of a qualifying benefit.
*Foster Children / Legal Guardians: If the foster parent or legal guardian do not qualify for free school meals the child can still qualify if the birth parents are eligible.
The claim form must be completed and signed by the parent receiving the benefit.
If you think you may be eligible simply download a claim for and return to school. Paper copies are available from the school office.
