FAO Parents of Children in Year 1 Through to Year 6

Dear Parent,

We have had a confirmed case of COVID-19 regarding a member of staff who works solely in the EYFS (nursery and Reception) area of school.  Following a full risk assessment in consultation with Public Health, our Nursery and Reception children/staff will be isolating until at least 19th October (14 days from the last possible contact they had with the confirmed case).

Children in years 1 through to 6 have not been identified as being in close contact with the confirmed case and therefore should attend school as usual.  This includes siblings of Nursery and Reception children who should also attend school as usual.

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are recent onset of a new continuous cough and/or a high temperature and/or a loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia). If your child, or anyone in your household, develops these symptoms, you whole household must remain at home and not go to work, school or public areas. You should arrange testing for the person who has developed symptoms. When the result is known further advice will be available.

Testing can be arranged by calling 119 or via the NHS website: nhs.uk/coronavirus
